Brazil gets $10 billion from U.S. taxpayers to develop offshore oil reserves

Chairman Zero has virtually shut down energy exploration in the United States. Shale oil operations in Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming have been shut down. Offshore oil leases granted under the Bush administration have been snatched away from oil producers.

But his administration is loaning $10 Billion in taxpayer money to Brazil to drill for oil there.

Brazilian oil workers can thank him for his largesse. American oil workers are just SOL, I guess.

    Talk about American arrogance!

Remember when Pelosi (see her press release: May 16, 2008) demanded that Saudi Arabia produce *more* oil?

So, based on the Brazil story and Pelosi, what are we to assume the SWP, er, DNC believes?

Apparently they are saying, “America is beautiful and pristine and shouldn’t be uglied with oil rigs. But Brazil and Saudi Arabia are ugly, so drilling there is good.”

But liberals know that it compromises America’s economic and security interests to rely on other countries for something we *could* produce here but *can’t* legally.

It is impossible to look at this and not think the liberals are either 1) arrogant, 2) want to destroy America, or 3) all of the above.

It’s the Leftist way of making us less dependent on foreign oil. And, following that logic(?), giving billions to the likes of ACORN will make voting more honest.

Forgive the blasphemy, but JESUS CHRIST!!! Can it get any worse? I’m beginning to wonder if I woke up in North Korea…

  4. And Arrogance is what we’re promoting to Brazil, as Brazil continues to hold 70 kidnapped children including Sean Goldman. No wonder they feel they are above international law and do not need to honor international treaties!!! 10 more million to “not de-forest” the Amazon, even though by all accounts, they’re doing it anyway.

Wow. $10 B’s to encourage a foreign county to develop its oil reserves, something they don’t want done here at home. It’s almost like the Left wants to encourage the development of “carbon-based fossil fuels” and the “greenhouse gasses” that are produced by burning them, after all.

It’s like the Obama administration are all a bunch of damn hypocrites or something. I can’t quite be sure.

Oh yes it can, Richard. It most definitely can. Just as the Titanic was made of iron, after all, and indeed could sink.

The only difference is that in North Korea, they don’t dance around or try to deny the hypocrisy. Kim Jong-Il just plain doesn’t care what anyone thinks.
