25% of Young Americans – Still Retarded

It has come to this:

A 2005-2006 poll by Mary Lynne Dittmar, a space consultant based in Houston, Texas, found that more than a quarter of Americans 18 to 25 expressed some doubt that humans set foot on the moon.

On the one hand, yeah that’s really retarded. On the other hand, this generation has been raised in a culture where politicians lie routinely (“I won’t hire any lobbyists to work in my administration.” “I have no intention of running General Motors.” “I promise a net reduction in Federal spending”), so they have no reason to trust Government.

They have also been marinated in Hollywood Entertainment Culture whose special effects that can make it look like humans can fight zombies, walk with dinosaurs, and can even make Rosie O’Donnell look vaguely human. These same movies and TV programs eagerly embrace and promote all manner of conspiracy theories and evil corporate and government plots invariably fomented and carried out by the kind of white men that ran NASA in the 1960’s. The only person the younguns trust is Morgan Freeman, who is reportedly tapping his step granddaughter.

The culture pushes retardation as a social norm, but that’s still no excuse for being a retard.

If you're in a room with three people between the ages of 18 and 25, one of them is probably a retard.

But remember….”When was the last time you took your daughter to the aquarium….on a Tuesday? VISA is easier than cash or checks.”

    And that’s what counts, right?

Incidentally, would these be the same thirty-odd percent who do not know that the Sun is a star?
