I confess myself a little perplexed by the media’s sudden fixation on a southern governor who took a few days off to travel to Argentina to refresh his batteries. This from a media complex that has shown little or no interest in the firings of two Inspectors General by the president and the leashing of a third, all apparently involved in the oversight of funds misused by the president’s cronies.
On a 10 point scale of “things to get pissed off about,” a southern governor taking a vacation ought to rank at about a 2. A president firing government watchdogs to protect his cronies… a solid 9.
Of course, the reason the media is attacking Sanford is primarily because he is a heretic who blasphemed against the Teleprompter Messiah by refusing Spendulus money.
