Anderson Cooper’s childish giggling about “tea-bagging” may amuse the heck out of leftists who never intellectually matured beyond the sixth grade, but the rest of America is unimpressed.
The biggest disappointment has been the cable channel’s big, silver-haired hope, Anderson Cooper.
The ratings have plunged for his show, “Anderson Cooper 360,” since Obama’s inauguration, and the drop in May has been steeper, especially in the coveted 25-54 demographic, where he’s down nearly 30 percent from the previous month, averaging less than 250,000 demo viewers.
Cooper is in Prime Time and is the most heavily hyped show on CNN. In contrast, Glenn Beck in the 5 o’clock dead zone, is pulling in 2 – 3 million viewers. In fact, ratings for CNN and MSNBC are down across the board.
Why? Partly because people who are serious about news don’t want to see grown men (and women) giggling like 10-year-olds over the word “tea-bag.” But mostly because CNN and MSNBC are completely uncritical of the party in power, and people are by and large not interested in seeing “news” coverage that does nothing but parrot the party line.
