When the leading bankers of the United States met with Chairman Zero in the White House, they tried to explain to him, using logic and facts, how his policies, especially his salary caps, would make it difficult for them to recruit top talent on a global government. But the community organizer who never ran anything but his mouth had his own ideas. The Politico reports:
President Barack Obama wasn’t in a mood to hear them out. He stopped the conversation, and offered a blunt reminder of the public’s reaction to such explanations. “Be careful how you make those statements, gentlemen. The public isn’t buying that.”
“My administration,” the president added, “is the only thing between you and the pitchforks.”
In other words, salary decisions are now being made on a political basis, not a market basis. Chairman Zero is already seeking the power to take over businesses at will, to fire management at will, and to set salaries not just for executives but for all employees. In other words, Obama’s actions are clearly in the direction of a centrally planned, political economy.
But to his idiot supporters worshipers at Talking Points Memo seem to think the guy is some sort of capitalism-loving centrist on the basis of the lip service he gives to the market.
(Obama) “We — I strongly believe in a free-market system.”
Perhaps, the city-bred leftist hacks at TPM have never heard of bullshit.
