From Patterico, a curious admission.
Congressional Republicans and other opponents of Obama’s health care agenda are sure to use next month’s recess to sow doubts about the legislation, particularly the cost of reform and the so-called public option for health insurance.
…
“The longer something’s laying out there, it’s a target,” said one downtown operative monitoring the health care debate.
Whoa! So Democrats are admitting they want to rush the legislation through because if we the people actually have a chance to read it, study it, and analyze it… we’re going to oppose it.
The more the public knows about ObamaCare, the less they will support passing it. So, Democrats are trying to sneak it in under the wire.
Does this not tell you something?

The battle over government health care: how bad and how much?
Also, a quite good post on health care rationing actually works. Basically, the government won’t pay for drugs that work because they cost too much, so you suffer and die.

All the ”Good Ol’ Boys” in Congress want is free Viagra and pacemakers.
I say let’s give it to ‘em. Then they’ll be way too busy to think about future legislation.
