Leftists know that decent people would never support their agenda if they knew the truth about it. So they have no choice but to lie, lie, lie…
Case in point, American Spectator’s Matthew Vadum posts on the relationship between radical left-wing judge David Hamilton and Voter Fraud and Racketeering group ACORN. Promptly, ACORN defenders show up to spew the talking points: “ACORN is innocent as lambs, they never registered any illegal voters and it isn’t their fault they registered illegal voters, and you can’t prove that the illegal voters they did or didn’t register actually voted…”
Heather Heidelbaugh says otherwise:
The protest shakedowns are among a slew of accusations that Ms. Heidelbaugh intends to make against the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. She also will accuse the nonprofit group of violating tax, campaign-finance and other laws by sharing a list of President Obama’s maxed-out campaign donors to solicit more funds for a get-out-the-vote drive.
Another left-wing group using lies to hide its real agenda is The Service Employees Union.
With some 80 percent of Americans opposed to removing the guarantee of a secret ballot for workers considering unionization, it is unsurprising that supporters of the Employee Free Choice Act would engage in this sort of deceptive editing exercise. Both the SEIU and House Labor Committee Chairman George Miller have now taken this sentence from a Wall Street Journal editorial:
“The bill doesn’t remove the secret-ballot option from the National Labor Relations Act but in practice makes it a dead letter.”
And turned the meaning on its head by quoting only part:
“The bill doesn’t remove the secret-ballot option from the National Labor Relations Act,” wrote the WSJ.
Obviously, if the truth were on their side, the left would not need to lie this way.

You’re an idiot — even for a Republican, and that says a lot.
