The Lovely Michelle Malkin has the Word.
My Friend,
In the time since the 2008 presidential campaign ended I have had a chance to reflect on many things. And as I said on election night, I truly cannot adequately express how indebted I am to you, my entire campaign team and my running mate, Governor Sarah Palin.
…
So to continue the movement, I have decided to launch a new grassroots organization called Country First.
…
Country First will allow us to strengthen our Party, better define our Republican ideals and message, recruit and back strong, dedicated candidates and continue our efforts to bring real reform to government by always putting our country and the noble ideals she stands for first.
Let’s parse that last statement…
Country First will allow us to strengthen our Party…
The party you threw under the bus to suck up to the media every chance you got.
… better define our Republican ideals and message…
Because you did such a great job at that during your campaign.
… recruit and back strong, dedicated candidates …
Whom you will then turn against when they aren’t sufficiently mavericky enough. Like the way you let your Democrat “friends” and your “friends” in the media trash Sarah Palin?
… and continue our efforts to bring real reform to government by always putting our country and the noble ideals she stands for first.
Like when you threw free speech under the bus to protect senate incumbents? Like when you threw three dozen constructionist judges under the bus so you could preserve your precious judicial filibuster (never used by Republicans?) Like when you cursed out supporters of border security as “chickensh-ts?”
Old. Out-of-touch. Wedded to a Beltway Insider’s view of the country that led him to spastically drop his campaign to head back to “Warshington” to vote on a $700 Billion bailout for Wall Street the taxpayers hated; a blank check that was mis-spent and mis-appropriated.
To paraphrase a much better Republican: McCainism is not the solution to the GOP’s problems, McCainism is the GOP’s problem.
